The ISACA has recognised the training initiatives of Australia’s largest cyber security organisation, Tesserent, as an accredited training organisation (ATO).
Tesserent Academy and ALC Training is the first ISACA Elite Plus Partner in Australia/Asia-Pacific region to be recognised as an ATO, reflecting the Thales Australia-owned organisation’s dedication to providing high-quality, consistent outcomes for up-and-coming cyber security professionals and strengthening their qualifications in an industry facing a workforce shortage.
“The accredited training program ensures consistent and effective training content and delivery that helps meet global demand by creating a strong pool of highly qualified ISACA trainers,” wrote ISACA vice president of product management Tanya Rose.
“This program helps professionals worldwide have better access to ISACA’s globally recognised certifications.”
ALC Training has been recognised as an ATO for a number of ISACA credentials, as stated in Tesserent’s release:
“We are delighted that ISACA has accredited the courses and qualifications offered by Tesserent Academy and ALC Training in the Australian market. We are committed to upskilling the talent pipeline the industry desperately needs,” said Tesserent chief executive Kurt Hansen.
“This will help fulfil the growing demand for cyber security workers. This will ensure our nation’s defences are strengthened and robust as we meet the federal government’s goal to make our nation the most cyber secure by 2030,” added Hansen, reflecting on statements made by Home Affairs Minister Clare O’Neil.
“Tesserent Academy and ALC Training are part of the broader Tesserent and Thales cyber solutions group and a leading provider of cyber security services in Australia and New Zealand,” added the managing partner of Tesserent Academy and ALC Training, Andrew Shea.
“We are thrilled to become the first Elite Plus Partner for ISACA in Australia/APAC. This partnership solidifies our commitment to delivering exceptional cyber security training in the market.”
ALC Training, an Australia-based training business and government training provider, became part of the Tesserent Group on 17 March 2023 as part of the Tesserent Academy Initiative.
“The mission statement of the Tesserent Academy is to be the pre-eminent provider of cyber security education in the Asia-Pacific region,” wrote an ALC company announcement.
“ALC, with its very strong background of nearly 30 years in information and cyber security training, will provide Tesserent Academy with an immediate and commanding position in this sector.
“By joining Tesserent, ALC will have access to a much greater range of resources, which will lead to many new opportunities and significantly increased growth potential.
“The focus will be on portfolio expansion, the development of new skills-based programs, and the creation of new certifications relevant to our region.”
