It has been revealed that software provider Nuix, in partnership with IT solutions provider Atturra and Hewlett Packard, has accelerated the processing of unstructured data tenfold on Nuix’s Neo platform.

The findings come as Nuix and Atturra reported seeing increased demand from corporate entities and governments to analyse large amounts of unstructured data, including to support fraud investigation.

Using Nuix’s artificial intelligence platform Neo on Hewlett Packard ProLiant DL380 Gen11 servers with NVIDIA GPUs, Nuix and Atturra revealed that they improved the processing of text, chat, emails, images, video and other unstructured data by 10 times on previous tests.

The companies expect that the findings will drive efficiencies for their customers, including undertaking fraud investigations with excessive amounts of data.

Accuracy and speed of data processing are at the corner of the platform, Nuix chief customer strategy and innovation officer Oliver Harvey explained.

“This is a transformative development for our Nuix Neo platform. When we created Neo, we wanted to create a platform that was 10 times faster and synchronised all our leading capability. Now, in conjunction with Atturra’s services and HPE’s infrastructure, we bring this vision to life, helping to supercharge the speed and accuracy of critical data projects, improving the productivity of all involved,” Harvey said.

It is expected that the improvement will help organisations get the answers they need from unstructured data in shorter periods of time, particularly as they face increasing regulatory pressures and tighter time frames.

Stephen Kowal, CEO of Atturra, explained that the findings will help deliver for businesses.

“Nuix has always led the industry globally in processing and analysing messy and unstructured data. Through our work with HPE, we are thrilled to be able to bring the infrastructure and services, supporting AI workloads and unlock faster analysis for more shared clients,” Kowal said.

Kowal recently joined the Defence Connect Spotlight podcast, discussing the importance of sovereignty for Australia’s national security, given the nation’s geographic isolation.

While AI continues to improve, it is placing an additional burden on hardware, Chris Weber, vice president of HPE South Pacific, added, requiring new solutions that are built to support AI processes.

“The data and computational demands of AI require a fundamentally different approach to technology that addresses the unique needs of these types of workloads. As part of NVIDIA AI computing by HPE, HPE ProLiant servers are built to accelerate AI-powered enterprises, whilst optimising performance and cost, and we are pleased to help Nuix and Atturra’s customers across the globe leverage AI solutions to grow their businesses,” Weber said.
