Digital transformation firm Fujitsu has announced the creation of a new AWS practice to assist Australian businesses in their journey to the cloud.

The practice will offer everything from management to optimisation and technical services to design

With the Australian cloud sector expected to be worth $38.1 billion by 2027, Graeme Beardsell, CEO of Fujitsu Asia Pacific, said the new Fujitsu AWS practice “will help businesses of all sizes unlock the full potential of the cloud, enabling them to be more agile, innovative, and competitive”.

“Our new AWS practice adds a powerful, in-demand capability to Fujitsu Digital Acceleration Services, which offers leading expertise in cloud, security, data, and enterprise solutions to deliver transformative digital outcomes for businesses and governments,” Beardsell said.

Daniel Wundersitz, who until recently headed up one of Australia’s largest AWS practices, will take on the role of AWS practice lead, while senior business development specialist Mark Telkes will step into the role of senior sales executive.

“Australia has a range of AWS system integrators. Very few can offer the experience, scale, depth, and breadth of a global digital transformation partner like Fujitsu,” Wundersitz said.

“We are a trusted advisor for customers across many sectors, including enterprise, public sector, and defence.”

The formation of the Fujitsu AWS practice comes on the tail of the launch of Fujitsu Cyber Security Services in Australia and New Zealand, which provides digital forensics, threat intelligence, and incident response services to businesses within the region.
