US cyber security and DDoS mitigation firm Cloudflare has demonstrated its dedication to local cyber security compliance with the completion of the Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) Assessment.
IRAP is an assessment established by the Australian Signals Directorate that provides entities with a high-quality security assessment to ensure high security standards and compliance.
Cloudflare’s completion of the assessment ensures it is able to provide its cyber security, connectivity and developer services to Australian government agencies.
“Completing the IRAP assessment is a crucial step in our focus on protecting critical infrastructure and safeguarding sensitive data across the Australian public sector,” said Steve Bray, vice president for Australia and New Zealand at Cloudflare.
“Australian government agencies now have the ability to upgrade their cyber and digital platforms with the same cutting-edge and automation-driven infrastructure that empowers our digital-native customers to innovate rapidly, securely, and with efficiency at scale at the PROTECTED level.
“Through Cloudflare’s connectivity cloud, a unified platform that integrates all of our products, we can provide compliant, seamless, and secure solutions across the Australian public sector, utilities, and critical infrastructure agencies, regardless of the complexity of their needs.”
Australian government agencies already use Cloudflare for anti-DDoS services, with the company now able to provide the rest of its services to ensure secure connectivity with cloud services and mature zero-trust architectures.
Cloudflare is currently working to achieve other security standards around the world, including FedRAMP High authorisation “in process” status in the United States. In Spain, it is also after certification from the Esquema Nacional de Seguridad (ENS).
