Queensland cloud hosting company ATech has successfully rolled out a new data gathering portal for Airservices Australia.

The new Aeronautical Data Originator (ADO) Portal is in the process of being rolled out to 600 organisations across Australia, for airports, government service, and the military. The portal itself is a modern, fully digital system for gathering aeronautical data.

Sarah-Jane Peterschlingmann (pictured), managing director of ATech, has said the company’s experience with government contracts has been a boon.

“ATech has worked with all levels of the government for many years. We invest in deeply understanding our clients’ needs and have the technical expertise to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget,” Peterschlingmann said in a statement. “The feedback we receive from clients is that they really appreciate our responsiveness. It’s what sets us apart.

“The ADO Portal is a web-based, streamlined and customer-centric solution for how aeronautical information is collected, updated and stored. Its key benefits include reducing manual processes and ensuring accurate information to aviation users.”

David Foster, Airservices Australia’s AIS data integrity manager, is pleased with the final product.

“We threw a big challenge at the ATech team to help us design and build a user-friendly aeronautical data collection portal from scratch,” Foster said.

“The collaborative design work and agile development approach adopted by ATech was one of the key factors contributing to the successful build and deployment of the Airservices ADO Portal. With over 1,000 users currently registered and using the ADO Portal, we’re incredibly proud to offer this new service milestone. The portal improves our service offering and creates better outcomes for the aviation industry.”

Airservices Australia is a government-owned agency and is responsible for maintaining safe air travel and managing airport firefighting services.
