The company has been cleared to work closely with government agencies and critical infrastructure entities.
Physical security firm Genetec has announced the successful completion of an Infosec Registered Assessors Program (IRAP) assessment, paving the way for the company to work with Australian critical infrastructure providers and government agencies.
“Undertaking an IRAP assessment to the OFFICIAL:Sensitive level reflects our ongoing commitment to meeting the security requirements set by the Australian government,” George Moawad (pictured), country manager for Oceania at Genetec, said in a statement.
“We look forward to continuing to collaborate with government agencies, as well as our channel partners, to deliver cloud-based physical security solutions suited for complex environments.”
The assessment will also create opportunities for Genetec’s channel partners, which can now offer Genetec’s physical security solutions to government and critical infrastructure clients.
Genetec’s physical security solutions include the Microsoft Azure-hosted Genetec Security Center SaaS, which provides video management and access control, and Genetec AutoVu Cloudrunner, a vehicle-focused investigation tool capable of automated license plate recognition.
The assessment was carried out by Australian cyber security firm CyberCX, which is an Australian Cyber Security Centre-endorsed IRAP assessor.
