Compliance specialist de.iterate has launched a new tool to help companies comply with Australia’s Privacy Act and a range of other local and global standards.
De.iterate’s Privacy Act compliance platform features reporting tools, evidence collection, dynamic policy settings, storage capability, and data tracking. The platform also helps businesses tackle the Australian Cyber Security Centre’s Essential Eight.
Following the publishing of the federal government’s Privacy Act Review Report, small businesses will soon no longer be exempt from the act. This “changing landscape”, according to Andrew Lawrence, founder and chief executive of de.iterate, means a number of businesses will need to look at their compliance.
“The privacy and cyber realm once posed challenges primarily for large entities,” Lawrence said in a statement. “However, with the impending removal of the small business exemption from the Privacy Act, an influx of 2.3 million businesses will grapple with showcasing privacy compliance.”
“Many existing solutions are either prohibitively costly or require specialised expertise for their implementation. De.iterate bridges this gap, offering a user-friendly platform designed to make data privacy and cyber security processes easy and stress-free – particularly for small-business owners.”
According to Lawrence, de.iterate’s new platform is a whole “transformative method” by which Australian companies can manage data protection requirements, not just now but also as they change.
“As we step into the future, we’re excited to present a tool designed not only for the present but foreseeing the needs of tomorrow,” Lawrence said.
