There are 14 individual and 15 group award categories for entrants to choose from this year, while the submissions offer them the opportunity to highlight their experience and capabilities in delivering robust cyber security programs.

Individual categories cover chief information security officers, cyber security professionals, consultants, lawyers, graduates, female and indigenous leaders, as well as rising stars.

Group categories include cloud service providers, cyber security consulting and training businesses, in-house response teams, indigenous businesses, as well as ransomware protection and threat detection businesses.

Run with the support of principal partner Palo Alto Networks, the Australian Cyber Security Awards is an unparalleled program that provides national recognition to the leading lights of the cyber security industry, including professionals and businesses.

The program – which recognises people and businesses rather than products and platforms – universally acknowledges all cyber stakeholders, including defence, insurance, cloud services, and technology, along with those working in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), consultancy, and ransomware protection.

The awards are open to all businesses operating in Australia supporting the cyber security supply chain and are coveted accolades for organisations and professionals seeking to cement their role in cyber security.

Why enter the awards

As cyber attacks and criminal activity grow in both small and large companies, both cyber security businesses and professionals have been playing a pivotal role in safeguarding businesses and bolstering their cyber security posture.

This awards program provides recognition to the top players in the industry for their hard work and dedication to protecting the nation and its businesses from cyber security attacks and threats.

By winning an award or qualifying as a finalist, businesses could distinguish themselves and stand out in a competitive marketplace, particularly when attracting and retaining top talent, while also strengthening their position when winning cyber projects or contracts.

Moreover, with cyber security now established as a fundamental input to the sector’s capability, an Australian Cyber Security award could reaffirm the role of your organisation while shining a spotlight on your contribution to strengthening Australia’s national security.

For individuals, recognition could underpin career advancement and reaffirm their role in advancing Australia’s cyber security sector.

The award winners will be determined by a panel of esteemed judges, including senior leaders, academics, business executives, entrepreneurs and innovators, providing peer-reviewed recognition of their capabilities in cyber security and passion for driving the sector forward.
