The new operational technology partnership comes as attacks against Australian critical infrastructure rise.
Australian security firm Sekuro has announced it has formed a partnership with operational technology specialists Dragos, aimed at boosting Sekuro’s OT security capabilities.
Under the partnership, Sekuro will become a “value-added reseller”, allowing it to use Dragos’ expertise to provide its customers with improved vulnerability management, threat detection, and asset visibility.
The partnership also allows Sekuro to offer a “converged dashboard” across both OT and IT infrastructure, letting customers observe all alerts in a single dashboard.
“The potential impact of attacks on OT can be downright terrifying, yet, anecdotally, we’ve observed low OT security maturity in Australia,” said Noel Allnutt, Sekuro’s chief executive, in a statement.
“As IT and OT converge, our customers are coming to us for guidance on how to secure critical infrastructure. While there are unique challenges and requirements for OT and critical infrastructure environments, our capabilities are now strengthened by Dragos and will enhance operational continuity and safety.
“As an end-to-end cyber security and digital transformation consultancy, our holistic approach has enabled us to build the leading business platform for OT convergence. Sekuro is partnering with Dragos because of its unrivalled reputation as the leading OT security technology provider with unparalleled expertise and experience on the frontline of OT security incidents. The Dragos Platform provides superior visibility and insights, and Dragos is the only vendor providing services to upskill customers and partners.”
Hayley Turner, area vice-president, APAC, at Dragos, said the partnership is good for both companies.
“The partnership between Dragos and Sekuro is well aligned to our mission to Safeguard Civilisation,” Turner said.
“Together, Sekuro and Dragos bring world-class technology and experience in the OT domain alongside Sekuro’s deep expertise in the enterprise IT landscape for a holistic approach to organisational cyber security. We share Sekuro’s dedication to reducing cyber risk and building business resiliency for industrial organisations.”
