Ransomware gang Hunters International has claimed an attack on an Australian CRM solution provider, listing details of the breach on its dark web leak site.
Legrand CRM, a Sydney-based provider of tailored CRM solutions for SMEs, was listed on the threat group’s dark web leak site.
At the time of writing, Cyber Daily observed that Hunters International’s dark web leak site was inaccessible. It is currently unclear what, if any, data was stolen.
Cyber Daily has reached out to Legrand CRM for comment on the incident.
Hunters International is a major player in the ransomware space, first appearing in 2021 and commonly believed to be a rebrand of the Hive ransomware gang, despite the group denying these claims.
The group has listed a number of Australian organisations on its site in the past, most recently listing healthcare products supplier SSS Australia.
The gang posted nearly 70 gigabytes of data, totalling more than 60,000 individual files.
“SSS Australia [was] impacted by a cyber attack over the Easter long weekend,” an SSS spokesperson told Cyber Daily. “We are aware of the incident.”
“Although we do not retain personal privacy data for our customers, we have published notifications to our customers and staff, including providing recommendations for action, and further support for staff.”
Only weeks prior, the group listed Australian accounting firm T A Khoury & Co on its dark web blog, claiming to have stolen 63.7 gigabytes of data.
