Threat actors claim to have exfiltrated almost 30,000 corporate logins for Swiss multinational Nestlé.
In a post to a popular hacking forum, threat actor “ArtofAlt” said it was selling 28,439 corporate logins for access to the company.
The threat actor also posted a sample with several email addresses and passwords alongside login links for a number of different Nestlé websites.
ArtofAlt claims the cyber attack was performed by the INDOHAXSEC ransomware group, an Indonesian cyber crime gang.
“We INDOHAXSEC TEAM,” the threat actor said.
“THIS ACCESS LEAK ATTACK IS A FORM OF HUMANITARIAN RESISTANCE AND BOYCOTT AGAINST PRODUCTS RELATED TO ISRAEL AND THE US.”
Whilst Nestlé has said it does not financially aid Israel, it owns a controlling portion of Osem, an Israeli food brand that operates in Israel-occupied Palestine.
The company said that boycotts of its products have affected it financially as a result.
“Avoid Nestle products until they divest all operations in Occupied Palestine,” said the Israel Boycott Guide by The Witness.
“Especially avoid any Osem brands such as Sabra Salads and others.”
Cyber Daily has attempted to reach out to Nestlé for more information.
INDOHAXSEC is known for using the WannaCry 2.0 ransomware, a web-based version of the WannaCry ransomware.
