The owner and leader of one of the biggest hacking forums has just resigned from the position.
Notorious hacker and the owner of infamous hacking site BreachForums, IntelBroker, has announced that he is stepping down from leading the forum.
“Resigned from BreachForums as owner,” he wrote in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
“I just don’t have the time anymore, not as owner / admin anyway.
“I will still post randomly. Stay tuned.”

In a longer post on the forum itself, IntelBroker said that the reason for his resignation was due to offline commitments.
“I am making this thread to announce my resignation as BF owner,” he said.
“This has been a long time coming. As of resigning I’m waiting for the two admins to remove my rank. I’m resigning due to not having enough time to designate my time to BreachForums.
“I did previously say that I didn’t want to be admin or anything higher due to me not having any time. I’m very busy IRL and I don’t want to be a useless staff member who is inactive.”
“I’m sure the BreachForums community has noticed my lack of interaction overall from me. So I’m resigning because of this.”
“I may sometimes post a random thread here and there and post sometimes a message in shoutbox, but not as staff.
“You are all such an amazing community and I hope [sic] you the best of good luck!”
IntelBroker rose to the position of owner at BreachForums after the FBI and global law enforcement launched a takedown of the site last year, arresting the owner at the time, Baphomet.
Baphomet took over operations after the previous owner, Conor Brian Fitzpatrick, “aka” “Pompompurin”, was arrested.
Outside of being the head of arguably the largest hacking forum, IntelBroker has developed a reputation for posting large, real leaks and breaches.
Prior to the last takedown, IntelBroker claimed a breach of Europol, alleging that he had stolen classified data.
“In May 2024, Europol suffered a data breach and led to the exposure of FOUO [For Official Use Only] and classified data,” said IntelBroker.
“Compromised data: Alliance employees, FOUO source code, PDFs, Documents for recon and guidelines.”
Just days prior, cloud cyber security company Zscaler took one of its systems offline after IntelBroker claimed to be selling access to a “large cyber security company” for US$20,000.
Note: It’s Cyber Daily’s general policy not to mention illegal hacking forums by name. Due to the nature of this story, we have made an exception.
