Fortinet has announced the opening of a first-of-its-kind Innovation Hub in North Sydney, which will be the company’s new Australian HQ.

The facility will focus on providing support to both Fortinet’s private and public sector partners, such as government and critical infrastructure sectors, while also supporting the Five Eyes Alliance between Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

Fortinet’s total investment in the hub exceeds $75 million. The hub will employ 200 people and host a dedicated data centre with a level 3 security data classification. It will host a technical assistance centre and provide training facilities in partnership with local vocational centres and universities.

“The opening of Fortinet’s new Australian headquarters is a landmark moment and reflects the organisation’s deep commitment to Australia, combining state-of-the-art capabilities, a focus on sustainability, and an unparalleled emphasis on training and innovation,” Dale Nachman (pictured, right), country manager, Australia, at Fortinet, said in a statement.

“Together with local partners, customers, and governments, Fortinet is building a stronger, more secure digital future for enterprises and critical infrastructure operators across the nation.”

Vishak Raman (pictured, left) – vice president, sales, Australia and New Zealand, Hong Kong, India, South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), and south-east Asia, at Fortinet – said the new hub showcased Fortinet’s commitment to Australia and the region.

“With the launch of Fortinet’s first Innovation Hub in the Asia-Pacific region, the company is not only strengthening local capabilities but also enabling enterprises, governments, and Australia’s critical infrastructure operators to drive digital resilience, accelerate innovation, and build a cyber-ready workforce,” Raman said.

“As organisations embrace artificial intelligence and cloud, Fortinet’s cutting-edge security solutions and services, strengthened by the company’s commitment to industry-wide collaboration, ensures its customers are well equipped to secure their digital transformation with confidence and agility.”
