James Corera, director of ASPI’s cyber, technology and security (CTS) program, joins the summit’s premier line-up of cyber experts to deliver a keynote session discussing collaborative approaches to meet evolving cyber threats.
Corera leads ASPI’s largest team, developing data-driven research and policy recommendations to address emerging security challenges.
Leading ASPI’s CTS program, Corera specialises in cyber and infrastructure security, emerging technologies, national resilience, and hybrid threats like disinformation and economic coercion, collaborating with global partners from government, academia, civil society, and industry.
With nearly two decades of experience in foreign policy and intelligence, Corera is also a trusted adviser to government leaders on global threats and Australia’s position in the world.
Additionally, he has served as an intelligence liaison officer to the Foreign Minister and held diplomatic postings in Indonesia and Malaysia, where he worked closely with international partners to strengthen stability and resilience against shared threats.
At the Australian Cyber Summit, Corera’s keynote address will advocate for building capacity among allies and partner nations to counter evolving cyber threats across the Indo-Pacific.
