Television screens in the headquarters of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development were hacked to display the US President sucking the toes of his “special government employee”.
The conflict between government employees and the Trump/Musk administration entered a new phase on Monday (24 February) morning US time when the television displays in the headquarters of the US Department of Housing and Urban Development began playing a deepfake video depicting a lewd act being performed by none other than President Donald J. Trump and mega-billionaire Elon Musk.
The looped deepfake video depicted a kneeling Trump kissing, stroking, and sucking the toes of Musk (not a sentence I ever expected to write in my professional career, but here we are -Ed). Click on that link at your peril.
According to reports from the scene, alarmed staff could only unplug the displays to stop the video from looping; however, other staff were observed turning the displays back on.
In reference to President Trump’s recent social media post saying, “Long like the king,” disturbingly referring to himself, the video displayed the message, “Long live the real king.”
A spokesperson for the department told The Register the incident was “another waste of taxpayer dollars and resources”.
“Appropriate action will be taken for all involved,” the spokesperson said.
While the government agency is investigating how the incident occurred – whether it was an external hack or the action of an employee – the Department of Housing and Urban Development, or HUD, is set to face drastic cuts to its workforce under efforts by Musk’s so-called Department of Government Efficiency. According to a document seen by the US National Public Radio, the agency’s Office of Community Planning and Development could lose 84 per cent of its staff.
In a possibly related incident, as of the time of writing, the HUD website cannot be reached.
