Rapid7 also launched its new PACT Partner Program to assist regional partners with cyber security training, tools, and resources.
Cyber security firm Rapid7 has appointed industry veteran David Quist to the role of director of channel sales for the Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ) region.
Quist has previously worked at Dimension Data, Symantec, and Nuix over his 25-year career, and he has worked at Rapid7 for six of them, most recently in the role of senior manager, southern region sales, ANZ.
“Customers across the APJ region face a variety of significant cyber security challenges. For our partners, this threat landscape provides a multitude of growth opportunities, driven by the need for organisations to take command of their attack surface and defend against complex and sophisticated cyber threats,” Quist said in a statement.
“I’m looking forward to supporting that growth and ensuring our partners get the best out of our new PACT Program to ensure their continued success.”
At the same time, Rapid7 also announced the launch of its new PACT Partner Program, which will offer the company’s partners a range of benefits.
The program will offer an updated Partner Portal that provides real-time collaboration and engagement, as well as training and automation. There’ll also be engagement programs tailored to each customer and two new PACT specialisations – MSSP Specialisation and Service Delivery Specialisation.
In addition, the PACT Program will offer a new Partner Training Academy to equip customers with both technical know-how and practical training.
“Our new PACT Program is the result of listening to and working collaboratively with our partner community to best understand their business challenges and opportunities,” Rob Dooley, APJ vice president and general manager at Rapid7, said.
“This significant program update ensures our partners are enabled and supported to drive maximum impact in line with their near- and long-term business objectives.
“To coincide with the PACT Program launch, I’m delighted to announce the promotion of David Quist, who has been leading our sales team in Australia and New Zealand to director of channel sales, APJ. David’s knowledge and experience will be instrumental in supporting our channel ecosystem, enabling their growth, and supporting our mutual customers.”
Tim Sank, sales director at Cythera, said his company’s partnership with Rapid7 had been a “cornerstone” of Cythera’s work over the past six years.
“Our recent merger with Bastion Security Group has strengthened our ability to monitor, detect, and respond to threats, leveraging both our Rapid7 partnership and our in-house security experts located across Australia and New Zealand,” Sank said.
“The new Rapid7 PACT Partner Program further reinforces this collaboration, enabling us to enhance our proactive, human-led security operations.”
