In this role, Murray will be responsible for leading Veritas' overall strategy, sales operations and new business growth in the ANZ region. Murray joins Veritas from Pure Storage where he was the director of strategic channels for the Asia-Pacific and Japan region.

Prior to Pure Storage, Murray spent 13 years at Dimension Data where he last held the role of regional director for NSW and ACT, with key responsibilities to champion the organisation’s strategic business and cultural transformation.

“Pete brings a wealth of experience to Veritas,” Ng added.

“With his well-rounded expertise in cultivating both extensive customer and partner networks, we have no doubt Pete will be able to further propel Veritas into its next stage of growth in the ANZ region.”

With over 30 years of experience, Murray’s teams had consistently exceeded their business revenue targets for consecutive years under his leadership. Earlier in his career, Murray spent time at Telstra Corporation, Touchbase and Avaya Communication, where he held senior sales and marketing leadership positions.

Murray is aiming to focus on strengthening strategic relationships with partners and customers to ensure that they achieve the greatest value from Veritas. He will also be spearheading initiatives that promote Veritas as an employer of choice with an inclusive and people-centric culture.

“In the new hybrid working world, organisations can feel like there is more complexity than ever to mitigating the ever-evolving ransomware and compliance risks, he said.

"I look forward to leading the ANZ team to empower businesses to solve their data management challenges, especially at this critical time where enterprise customers more so than ever, need greater capability to protect the integrity of data across multiple mediums.”

Murray is also passionate about making a difference by giving back through the IT community.

In 2017, he co-founded the Jack Edge Connected Classroom Foundation, which provides secure video connectivity from homes to classrooms for terminally ill children.
