Cloud-native network detection and response (NDR) company ExtraHop has named Tanya Hovagimian as its inaugural Australia and New Zealand channel manager.

Hovagimian will be responsible for managing ExtraHop’s channel and managed security service provider business in the region, including sales and solutions strategies and market development.

Hovagimian is a 15-year veteran of the IT industry, previously serving as a major account executive at Sophos.

The new appointee has also served in account management roles at The Missing Link and at Avnet Technology Solutions.

Hovagimian has also held roles with Lenovo and Dell.

"It's exciting to be joining a fast-growing company with a major market opportunity that is also absolutely committed to scaling high quality partnerships to grow and enhance its customers’ cyber security," Hovagimian said following her appointment.

"There is a great opportunity for ExtraHop as we see visibility and reporting become a key pillar within the industry.

“I’m looking forward to working with NEXTGEN in Australia and Chillisoft in New Zealand to help partners continue their journey with ExtraHop.”

Meanwhile, ExtraHop has also appointed Alexander Burmeister as ANZ sales engineer, also based in Sydney.

Burmeister joins the company from Barracuda Networks, where he served as senior sales engineer for Australia and New Zealand.

Burmeister was responsible for providing technical support to the organisation’s regional sales team and also assisted customers with proof-of-concept assessments.

Glen Maloney, ANZ regional sales manager at ExtraHop, welcomed the new appointments to the team.

“We’ve had a great year of continuing to build momentum for ExtraHop implementations across Australia and New Zealand and are thrilled to have enabled our customers to move beyond legacy security solutions and remain competitive in their various target market segments,” Maloney said.

“Both Tanya and Alexander come to ExtraHop with great experience and relationships within the channel, and I know the partner community will embrace them both with open arms.”
