The company’s Genetec Mission Control decision management system and its Genetec Clearance digital evidence management solution now offer a level of integration that allows security teams to switch from responding to security incidents in the first instance to then investigating that incident, all from within one interface.

With a focus on physical security, this means that all video devices connected to an event can be exported at once to create a case in Clearance. This reduces operator overhead with documenting incidents and ensures that no details are missed.

The initial incident report is safely preserved, which allows organisations to “demonstrate policy compliance”, as all actions relating to an incident are documented. Reports can easily be shared internally or externally for audit purposes.

“With the integration of Mission Control with Clearance, we’re simplifying the process of launching an investigation following an incident,” said Erick Ceresato, product group director at Genetec, in a statement.

“This efficiency enables our customers to do more with their systems and the information they’re collecting, while at the same time leveraging existing technology to achieve their business objectives.”
