Cyber brands have emerged as some of the worthy winners at tonight’s inaugural Australian AI Awards 2024.

With artificial intelligence rapidly permeating every industry, organisations ranging from small-to-medium enterprises (SME) to large enterprises have begun investing in AI or are planning to do so within the next five years

To address the growing adoption of artificial intelligence, Momentum Media and Cyber Daily launched the inaugural Australian AI Awards to recognise professionals, organisations, and solutions transforming the Australian economy. The awards program showcases innovators across banking, law, accounting, and wealth management through to defence, aerospace, cyber, and more.

The ceremony allowed members of the cyber industry to celebrate the achievements of colleagues and network with leaders and peers across a diverse range of sectors within the Australian economy.

Several cyber companies were announced as winners in the inaugural awards program including DASH Technology group and Kiriya Keat of Penten.

CSIRO's Data61 was the worthy recipient of the coveted AI Innovator - Cyber Security award with the digital and data specialist arm of CSIRO leading AI innovation to tackle Australia’s biggest challenges and shape a data-driven future.

The Australian AI Awards showcase the achievements of a diverse range of sectors across the Australian economy with other winners including professionals in accountancy and legal services, information technology, cybersecurity, and aerospace.

Winning one of Momentum Media’s coveted Australian AI Awards is widely recognised as an outstanding achievement in the artificial intelligence industry. It signifies the unwavering determination and commitment of individuals, teams, and businesses playing a pivotal role in propelling the industry forward.

As the first of its kind in Australia, the awards program provides national recognition to professionals and organisations that have developed innovative artificial intelligence solutions. The awards recognise innovators that are driving the economy forward across accounting, aerospace, banking, cybersecurity, defence, mortgage broking, law, wealth management, and various other sectors.

The judging criteria for the award categories are both quantitative and qualitative, acknowledging growth, business development, diversity, leadership, innovation, business excellence, and contribution to developing Australia’s AI toolkit.

To decide the winners, all finalists underwent a thorough audit process, checking demographic and other information against category eligibility criteria based on the information provided in the submission.

Professionals and organisations that took home trophies tonight will gain national recognition for catapulting the industry forward, bolstering winners' opportunities for career advancement.
