Launched this week, CrowdStrike Insider Risk Services involves a number of measures designed to identify threats within the business including malicious or negligent employees or others with inside access, threat actor access, hackers posing as employees and more.

“Today’s insider risks, whether caused by an accident, negligence, or a sophisticated adversary, demand proactive and comprehensive protection to safeguard critical assets and minimize any potential impact,” said Thomas Etheridge, chief global services officer at CrowdStrike.

“With deep adversary insights, extensive experience in countering complex threats and industry-leading visibility and protection provided by the Falcon platform, CrowdStrike Insider Risk Services sets a new standard for combating the modern insider threat.”

According to CrowdStrike, the average cost of measures for resolving insider threats over a 12-month period has risen to US$16.2 million, a sign that internal risks and threats are a major concern for modern organisations.

CrowdStrike Insider Risk Services combines the company’s industry-leading Falcon cybersecurity platform and the threat detection and response capabilities that come with it, with tailored assessments, advanced threat intelligence, threat hunting, program reviews and expert-led incident response to deliver a multi-layered defence strategy against internal threats.

The new services offer insider risk program and technical reviews to identify gaps and strengthen security posture, tabletop exercise and read team simulations to test defences and enhance detection capabilities and incident response.
